Camping Trip 2013

We went on our annual camping trip with Stewart
and Erin. We've gone 2 years in a row, so I can
call it our annual camping trip, right? =) Thursday
night Stewart and Erin came down to stay the night.
We went to dinner, and then the boys, Derrick,
Lowynn, and Stewart, went up to find a spot to
pitch our tent.Well, they took a couple of hours and
it was making me and Erin nervous. When they
got back, they said that there were a ton of people
up there,"our" spot was taken, and it was hard to
find a spot. Friday morning Derrick and Stewart took
off for work, and I worked, but I stay home for that. =)
Then Erin and I loaded up my kids, plus one daycare kid,
and went shopping. We got all of the things we needed
for camping. Then we came home, and packed everything.
When our husbands got home from work, we loaded
everything into our vehicles, and set out for our fun
weekend. When we got up the mountains, there was
hardly anyone up there. "Our" spot was open, so we
decided to move our tent there. That's why you can
see Derrick and Stewart in the top left corner of this
picture moving our tent. It was pretty funny! They
spent 2 hours finding a spot to pitch our tent, and we just
ended up moving it any way! =)
Derrick and Stewart making the trek with our tent. =)
He thought he was pretty cool.

Oddessey was dancing, and Lowynn was
after the grasshoppers!

He was yelling, "Yeah!" Because he had
caught a lot of grasshoppers.
She was super excited that she caught a grasshopper!

Shooting with the BB guns.

Lowynn had been dying to try it!

I love her face in this picture!

That's my husband! I know all of you ladies
are jealous! ;)
He can be pretty cute! =)
Saturday morning Derrick made our breakfast! It
was yummy!

He was shooting and cooking at the same
time. Just kidding. He was shooting and then
would check on breakfast, then go back
to shooting. =)
The boys headed out to go squirrel hunting. They
wanted to cook a squirrel, but they never got one.

Then the girls decided to head over, after they had been
gone for a couple of hours.

After lunch, we went fishing!
Oddessey is always intrigued by the worms.

Daddy teaching Lowynn how to fish.

She was having a blast! We didn't put a hook
and worm on her pole. =)

Then she decided to help me.

Erin didn't get a license, but she "helped" Lowynn. =)

He was SO patient. He did such a good job. He never
was able to catch a fish.

The boys

Cleaning the fish.
They were all tuckered out from a long day of fun!

This boy loves fish! It surprises me!
Sunday was our last day! Cleaning up is
always the worst part. =)

Lowynn was collecting bugs and putting
 them in this jug. =)
These are just air soft guns. =)

Finding some shade under daddy's tailgate.

We were going to go fishing when we were all cleaned
up, but we weren't moving fast enough for this little
one. She wanted to go fishing now! =)

We found our carvings and had to get pictures
by them. Derrick did such an "awesome" job
on our's. =)

My beautiful kids!

I love this picture!
After we got out of the mountains, we stopped at our
house for some lunch, then we headed over
to Springlake to try some fishing there.
I brought some bread so we could feed the ducks.

This duck had an afro! =)

My pretty girl! She climbed the tree and yelled,
"mom, come take a picture!" =)

Oddessey took this picture. She did a pretty
good job!

Once again, fascinated by the worms.

Dirty hands!

They seen this raft floating in the water, and decided
to see if the could float on it. Derrick reeled it in.
& tried it out first. Brilliant idea, right?
Nope! =)

Then he decided to take a swim.

Stewart tried the raft next, and tipped over as well.
I caught all of this on camera, too. =)

My kids wanted to get in the water so bad. So, I
decided to let them get in. They had a lot of fun!

It was such a fun weekend! I am so glad we have family
who share the same interests as we do! Thanks for all
of the laughs and the fun memories, Stewart and Erin!
